MORROW, Ga. – The Clayton State men's basketball team is set to host its second-straight weekend tournament as Clark Atlanta, Tuskegee and Georgia College make their way to Morrow for the Clayton State Classic.
The schedule will mirror the PBC / SAC Conference Challenge with two games being played on Friday and two games on Saturday.
On Friday, Tuskegee and Georgia College will play at 4 p.m. with Clayton State and Clark Atlanta playing at 6 p.m. The following day, Georgia College will take on Clark Atlanta at 2 p.m. while the Lakers battle Tuskegee at 4 p.m.

Clayton State and Clark Atlanta will play each other for the first time since 2014. The Panthers hold a 3-2 lead in the overall series, but the Lakers have won the last two meetings.
Saturday's meeting against Tuskegee will be the seventh time the two teams will face each other, but first since 2005. The Lakers are 5-1 all-time against the Golden Tigers.
Clayton State has opened the season with a 1-2 record after playing two ranked teams and a tough opponent in Tusculum. All three opponents the Lakers have seen so far qualified for the NCAA Tournament last season while Lincoln Memorial advanced to the Final Four.
In the season opener against No. 17 Lincoln Memorial, the Lakers went toe-to-toe with the Railsplitters and led midway in the second half. LMU's experience however took over and closed the game out for the win.
The following day, the Lakers secured its first win of the season in a close 83-79 win over Tusculum. Clayton State took its final lead with 8:29 remaining in the game and held off the Pioneers.
On Tuesday, the Lakers fell to No. 23 Valdosta State in their first road game of the season. Again, the Lakers led in the second half, but the Blazers regained the lead early and held on for the win.
Jalen Shaw leads the team in points (16.3), rebounds (7.0), assists (3.3), steals (2.0) and blocks (1.3).
Ricardo Lynch is scoring 16.0 points per game and is shooting 42.9% from three.
Kobie Johnson has emerged as a scoring threat for Clayton State in the past two games. He is scoring 12.7 points a game and is tied with Shaw with 3.3 assists per game.
The Lakers will hit the road again on Tuesday with an in-state battle against West Georgia.
