MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. – The Clayton State women's soccer team shutout Georgia College, 3-0, Wednesday night as the Lakers earned their fourth Peach Belt Conference win of the season.

With the win, the Lakers are in sole possession of fifth in the PBC standing with 12 points and are just three points back of Flagler, Lander and North Georgia.

Julia Hasenecz scored her first-career goal in the 19th minute with an assist from Isabel Massa to give Clayton State an early 1-0 lead.

The Lakers would hold that lead through the remainder of the half. Despite the lead, that was the only shot for Clayton State as the Bobcats held a 12-1 shot advantage in the first 45 minutes.

Valentina Bonaiuto had seven first-half saves and finished with 12 saves which ties a career high.

After the halftime break, Clayton State needed just 1:34 to add to the lead when Hasenecz found Reia Henry for the Brit's seventh goal of the season.

Just over 10 minutes after Henry's goal, Massa converted a penalty kick to put the Lakers ahead 3-0 and close out the game.

Georgia College finished with a 23-7 shot advantage and an 8-1 corner kick advantage.
