Kincey Takes Aim at 1,000 Career Points as Clayton State Poised to Close 2019-20 Against North Georgia

MORROW, Ga. – Clayton State (7-19, 5-14 PBC) men's basketball will close the 2019-20 season as senior guard Kyle Kincey (Tallahassee, Fla.) goes for 1,000 career points against North Georgia (13-14, 8-11 PBC) on Saturday, February 29. Tip-off is set for approximately 3:30 p.m. at The Loch.

Kincey enters the game with 986 career points having scored 403 of those this season. Should he notch at least those 14 points he will be just the eighth member of the men's basketball program to hit that mark and first since Dantez Bennamon in the 2017-18 season.

The all-time series against North Georgia is one of the tightest in the history of the program with deadlocked at 21-21. It is a series that dates back to the first season of basketball in 1990-91 with the first meeting coming on January 30, 1991 at The Loch.

Following three losses to start the series, Clayton State won seven straight from February 15, 1992 through February 6, 1995 before dropping 15 of the next 17 meetings through February 11, 2012. Since then the Lakers have won 12 of the last 15, including eight straight from January 10, 2015. Most recently UNG posted a 77-63 decision in Dahlonega, Georgia on January 25, 2020.

Coverage of the game will be available both on live stats and live video with links on www.ClaytonStateSports.com and below. Mitch Evans will bring you the call on the broad
