Clayton State Rides Four-Game Win Streak Into Midweek Meeting With Georgia Southwestern

MORROW, Ga. – After a brief one-off road trip, Clayton State (13-9, 9-5 PBC) women's basketball returns to the friendly confines of The Loch to take on Georgia Southwestern (6-14, 2-12 PBC) in Peach Belt Conference action on Wednesday, February 12. Tip-off is set for 5:30 p.m.
 
Against the Hurricanes, the Lakers lead the all-time series 30-13 dating back to the first meeting on January 4, 1992 during the first season of women's basketball. After going 4-11 over the first 15 meetings, Clayton State proceeded to win the next 18 from January 3, 2007 through February 7, 2015.
 
The Hurricanes snapped that streak with a 71-59 victory in Americus, Georgia on January 27, 2016 before the Lakers rebounded with a 68-47 decision at The Loch on February 6 of that year. Clayton State then stretched it to a three-game streak, winning 80-53 at the Storm Dome on January 25, 2017 and again on February 11, 2017 by a 63-54 score.
 
The Hurricanes returned with a 58-52 victory in Americus on January 24, 2018 before the Lakers started a new stretch via an 84-55 victory on February 21, 2018 and have since extended that to four in a row with a 73-62 decision on the road on January 15, 2020.
