High Scoring Affair on Tap as Clayton State Travels to Young Harris for Mid-Week Meeting

MORROW, Ga. – In what should be another "run-and-gun" affair, Clayton State (2-8, 0-3 PBC) men's basketball travels to high scoring Young Harris (2-9, 0-3 PBC) on Wednesday, January 8. Tip-off is set for approximately 7:30 p.m. following the women's contest.

Clayton State trails the all-time series 10-4 dating back to the first meeting on January 10, 2013. They picked up their first victory in the fifth game when they posted a 73-65 decision at The Loch on January 3, 2015. After that, Young Harris won five straight before the Lakers delivered a 94-75 victory on January 3, 2018.

They then made it two in a row with an 88-85 decision in the mountains on January 31, 2018. That win marked the first there in the series as Clayton State is just 1-6 in Young Harris. They reached that mark on January 9, 2019 when they dropped a 109-85 decision but rebounded with a 121-115 victory at The Loch on February 6 of that year.

The latter marked the most points scored against a Division II program and the fourth most all-time, regardless of level of opponent.

Coverage of the game will be available both on live stats and live video with links on www.ClaytonStateSports.com.
