MORROW, Ga. – A battle against one of the top teams in the Peach Belt Conference awaits as Clayton State (2-7, 0-2 PBC) men's basketball hosts Augusta (7-3, 2-0 PBC) to open up 2020 on Saturday, January 4. Game time is set for approximately 3:30 p.m. following the women's game.

Augusta leads the all-time series by a 23-14 margin dating back to the first meeting on December 29, 1995. The Lakers longest winning streak in the series is three, from February 1, 2003 through March 4, 2004, while the Jaguars won eight of nine from February 7, 2009 through January 9, 2017.
 
Clayton State snapped a three-game stretch with an 87-76 victory at The Loch on December 30, 2017 and turned it into a two-game winning streak with an 85-72 decision in Augusta on February 12, 2018. Augusta ended that last year, however, when they posted a 101-66 decision on January 5, 2019 at Christenberry Fieldhouse and a 102-82 final at The Loch on February 18, 2019.
