MORROW, Ga. – Fighting to make their way into the 2020 Peach Belt Conference Tournament, Clayton State (3-13, 1-8 PBC) men's basketball travels to fellow postseason challenger North Georgia (8-9, 3-6 PBC) on Saturday, January 25 for a game critical to both teams hopes. Tip-off is set for approximately 3:30 p.m. following the women's contest.
 
The all-time series against North Georgia is one of the tightest in the history of the program with Clayton State holding a narrow 21-20 lead following last year's 89-72 victory at The Loch on February 20, 2019. It is a series that dates back to the first season of basketball in 1990-91 with the first meeting coming on January 30, 1991 at The Loch.
 
Following three losses to start the series, Clayton State won seven straight from February 15, 1992 through February 6, 1995 before dropping 15 of the next 17 meetings through February 11, 2012. Since then the Lakers have won 12 of the last 14, including eight straight from January 10, 2015.
