Clayton State Set to Wrap Three Game Road Swing With MLK Matinee at Lander

MORROW, Ga. – Clayton State (3-11, 1-6 PBC) men's basketball heads to Greenwood, South Carolina to take on a strong Lander (11-4, 5-2 PBC) team on Monday, January 20. Tip-off is set for a matinee special of approximately 3:30 p.m. following the women's contest. 

The Lakers hold a 17-13 advantage in the all-time series dating back to the first meeting on January 31, 1998. The Bearcats took five of the first six meetings but Clayton State owns the longest winning streak, posting six straight from February 26, 2003 through January 13, 2007.
 
Clayton State earned an 89-80 victory in Greenwood, South Carolina on January 4, 2017 before falling 89-86 in double-overtime in the PBC Quarterfinals at The Loch on February 25 of that year. LU notched an 82-76 decision on December 19, 2017 on the road before the Lakers posted an 86-65 win at The Loch on January 15, 2018 and a hard-fought 72-68 decision in Morrow on December 19, 2018. Most recently the Bearcats picked up a 95-76 win in Greenwood on January 21 of last year.
