MORROW, Ga. – For the fifth consecutive season, Clayton State (1-0, 0-0 PBC) women's soccer will take on Valdosta State (0-0, 0-0 GSC) as they travel to the southern reaches of the State of Georgia for a 6 p.m. kick on Sunday, September 8.
 
Since the first meeting on September 15, 2015 when the Blazers claimed a 2-1 victory in Valdosta, Georgia, the clubs have alternated wins and losses to deadlock at 2-2 entering this year's contest. The Lakers answered with a 2-1 win of their own the following season on September 7, 2016 at Laker Field while VSU came right back with a 3-1 decision on their home field on September 3, 2017.
 
Last season Manoly Baquerizo (Guayaquil, Ecuador) ensured the clubs would remain undefeated at home as she scored the game winner with 19 seconds to play in a 1-0 victory on September 2, 2018.
