MORROW, Ga. – Clayton State (1-0, 0-0 PBC) men's soccer will wrap up a brief but intense two game homestand when they host Erskine (0-0, 0-0 CC) at Laker Field on Saturday, September 7. Game time is set for 6 p.m.
 
The Lakers have a stellar 10-2-1 all-time record against Erskine, including a perfect 7-0 mark at Laker Field. The series dates back to the first meeting on September 13, 1997. Following that 1-0 loss, Clayton State won the next four games as the beginning of a current stretch of 10 wins in 11 games with one tie. The latter came last year with a 2-2 final on the road on October 3.
 
That stretch included 3-1 victories in 2014 and 2015 at Laker Field and back-to-back 3-2 decisions on October 5, 2016 (Due West, S.C.) and October 4, 2017 (Morrow, Ga.). The Flying Fleet's most recent victory came by a 3-2 margin in Due West, South Carolina on September 16, 2009. The game will mark the seventh straight season the teams have played, continuing an all-time high in the series.
