MORROW, Ga. – Showcasing the program's efforts to continue to be interesting, different and appealing, Clayton State Athletics has delivered record-setting viewership numbers on www.ClaytonStateSports.com for the fourth straight year since relaunching the website with industry leader SIDEARM in late October of 2015.
 
Coming off an impressive 2018-19 campaign, this past year saw record numbers in pageviews, unique pageviews, total users and daily average pageviews. The 846,134 pageviews, which represents the total number of times content was viewed on the website, surpassed the 2017-18 total of 812,253.
 
Additionally, Laker Athletics topped unique pageviews with 435,064 after seeing 415,946 a year ago. Unique pageviews count everything viewed by one visitor during the same session as one pageview and provides a solid look at the traffic coming to the site.
 
In terms of the number of users coming to www.ClaytonStateSports.com, that number shot up to 87,010 in 2018-19 compared to 81,866 the previous season. It also saw the Lakers record 10 of the Top-20 days of user engagement, including the 5^th (947 on August 30, 2018), 6^th (932 on November 9, 2018) and 7^th (845 on December 17, 2018) highest in recorded program history.
 
The numbers were even more impressive when it came to pageviews with the highest average per day in the history of the website being recorded with 2,318. In the 1,340 days since the website relaunched there have been 37 days with at least 4,000 pageviews and an incredible 22 of them came in 2018-19.
 
Entering the year there had been just one time over 5,000 but this past year saw seven days where that was the case, including a program-best 6,021 pageviews on August 30, 2018. Overall, nine of the Top-10 single day marks in the history of the website came this past season.
 
The bottom line behind all the numbers is that Clayton State Athletics not only continues to generate interest, but is doing so at a record pace.
