Clayton State Push For Berth in PBC Tournament Continues With Midweek Meeting With Young Harris

MORROW, Ga. – With a pair of wins behind them, Clayton State (7-12, 4-9 PBC) men's basketball returns home to continue a push to reach the 2019 Peach Belt Conference Tournament as they host offensive minded Young Harris (9-10, 7-6 PBC) as both battle for a spot when they meet on Wednesday, February 6. Game time is set for approximately 7:30 p.m. at The Loch following the women's contest.

Currently the Lakers sit in a tie for ninth with Flagler, who holds the head-to-head tiebreak with a win earlier this season, and are not far behind YHC (7-6), Georgia College (6-6), Lander (6-8) and Columbus State (5-9).

Clayton State trails the all-time series 10-3 dating back to the first meeting on January 10, 2013. They picked up their first victory in the fifth game when they posted a 73-65 decision at The Loch on January 3, 2015.

After that, Young Harris won five straight before the Lakers delivered a 94-75 victory on January 3, 2018. They then made it two in a row with an 88-85 decision in the mountains on January 31, 2018. That win marked the first there in the series as Clayton State is just 1-6 in Young Harris. They reached that mark earlier this year on January 9 when they dropped a 109-85 decision.

Coverage of the game will be available on both live video and live stats. Full coverage can be found on www.ClaytonStateSports.com.
