Four Games in Span of a Week for Clayton State Kicks Off With Trip to Georgia College

MORROW, Ga. – Coming off of a minor setback last time out, Clayton State (8-13, 5-10 PBC) men's basketball begins a stretch of four games in a week's time as they head to Georgia College (12-9, 7-8 PBC) in another key Peach Belt Conference meeting on Wednesday, February 13. Game time is set for approximately 7:30 p.m. in Milledgeville, Georgia following the women's contest.

Currently Clayton State sits in the ninth spot in the PBC standings a half game behind rival Columbus State (6-10). The Bobcats sit directly in front of them with a 7-8 league mark with Young Harris and Lander tied at 8-8.

Clayton State holds a slim 26-25 lead in the all-time series dating back to the first meeting on December 8, 1990 in the first season of the program. It is also the most frequent series with 51 meetings. GC dominated the first 12 meetings, winning 10 of them, but the Lakers have gone 23-14 against the Bobcats since then, a stretch that began on January 13, 2001.

Over the last 18 meetings Clayton State is 13-5 and have won the last four in a row, including an 86-80 overtime thriller on February 7, 2018 at The Loch. Back-to-back wins in Milledgeville (69-65 on February 18, 2017 and 88-64 on January 10, 2018) began that stretch and snapped a three game Georgia College win streak. Most recently Clayton State claimed an 82-67 victory in Morrow on January 16 of this year.

Coverage of the game will be available on both live video and live stats. Full coverage can be found on www.ClaytonStateSports.com.
