Clayton State Athletics Showcases New Facility Branding Initiatives in 2019

MORROW, Ga. – It's not enough just to win and excel in the classroom … you have to look good doing it and Clayton State Athletics has hit on that key element in 2019 as well with a number of new visible branding initiatives launched throughout the 2019 calendar year.

Beginning in May, Laker Athletics changed the way fans enter The Loch, quite literally, with a brand new and custom wrap of both the main entrance to the facility and the gym. Both feature a large image of Loch spanning several doors while a monochrome version was added to the secondary entrances near the building's main offices.

Continuing in August, it would be the floor of The Loch that would receive a facelift as it was not only completely sanded and resurfaced, a new darker orange was added. That included prominent areas such as the key, Loch at center court and the lettering of the Mason Barfield Court.

It would not be the only upgrades inside the facility either as new Gatorade and Department branded banners were added to the front of the far side bleachers in October. In November the most noticeable addition would come in the form of a brand new, fully co-branded and backlit 36-foot scorer's table.

The first new addition of its kind in 20 years for the program, it features "Clayton State" on the center table and a partially obscured Loch logo and a Pepsi logo on either corner of the end units.

Prior to those upgrades, Laker Field, home of men's and women's soccer, also received new branded wind screens at both ends of the field and along the sidelines in September. Also highlighting the new touches on the venue was branding atop the bleachers that reads "Clayton State Soccer".

The final branding initiative of 2019 would take place in the portion of The Loch that houses the Department's offices. That would come in the form of full door wraps for the majority of the office doors, each of which includes full color and custom designs.

In the 30th anniversary year of Clayton State Athletics, these new branding efforts provide a fresh new look for the program and one that foreshadows more improvements to come in 2020.
