Clayton State Set to Close Out the Decade With Visit By Georgia College

MORROW, Ga. – Clayton State (5-4, 1-0 PBC) women's basketball closes out the decade as they host Georgia College (4-6, 1-1 PBC) in a Peach Belt Conference meeting at The Loch on Saturday, December 21. Tip-off is set for 1:30 p.m.

Clayton State holds a 34-22 lead in the all-time series, dating back to the first meeting on January 27, 1992. The series dates back to the first season of Laker women's basketball and is the most prevalent matchup in program history with 56 all-time meetings. The clubs have also met at least once in 29 of the last 30 years, with the lone exception being the 1992-93 campaign.

Since GC won 18 of the first 23 meetings through February 28, 2004, the Lakers have held a 29-4 streak that includes a 15 game win streak dating from February 6, 2010 through February 18, 2017.

Georgia College snapped that streak on January 10, 2018 with a 69-67 victory in Milledgeville, Georgia before Clayton State began a new streak with a 55-52 win on February 7 of that year at The Loch. Last season they extended the new stretch to three in a row with a 70-56 victory on January 16 in Morrow and a 63-48 decision on the road on February 13, 2019.

Coverage of the game will be available on both live video and live stats. All coverage will be available on www.ClaytonStateSports.com with a full recap following the contest.
