Clayton State and Georgia College Finally Set to Meet in Critical PBC Contest

MORROW, Ga. – Having been rained out on October 29, Clayton State (7-5-1, 4-4-1 PBC) and Georgia College (4-9-2, 3-5-1 PBC) will finally meet in a Peach Belt Conference contest critical to both team's postseason aspirations on Monday, November 4. Game time is slated for 6 p.m. at Laker Field.

Currently in sixth in the PBC women's soccer standings with 13 points following a win this past weekend, the Lakers are looking to move up the ladder, potentially as high as fourth, while the Bobcats are fighting to make the tournament. They sit on the outside looking in a ninth place tie with USC Aiken with both teams having 10 points.

The Lakers are 7-8-2 all-time against Georgia College dating to the first meeting on October 24, 2004. Over the last seven meetings they are 2-3-2, including a 2-1 victory on September 24, 2016, a 2-1 loss on September 23, 2017 and a 2-0 decision for the Bobcats in the most recent meeting in Milledgeville on October 17, 2018. One of those games was technically a 2-2 draw on November 10, 2013 but it saw the Lakers win the Peach Belt Conference Tournament Championship on penalty kicks, 4-2.

There will be coverage of the game through both live stats and live video. Full multimedia coverage is available on www.ClaytonStateSports.com.
