MORROW, Ga. – Clayton State (5-4, 1-2 PBC) women's basketball returns to action as they enter Peach Belt Conference play in earnest as they travel to Augusta (1-8, 0-3 PBC) on Saturday, January 5. Game time is set for 1:30 p.m. at Christenberry Fieldhouse in Augusta, Georgia.

The Lakers hold a 18-12 advantage in the all-time series, dating back to the first meeting on January 7, 1998. The Jaguars took seven of the first nine outings, including the first five through January 3, 2001. Clayton State, however, holds the longest winning streak in series history, taking eight straight from February 9, 2008 through February 5, 2014.
 
Since then Augusta won back-to-back meetings, claiming a 53-51 decision on January 31, 2015 and 69-56 victory on January 30, 2016, before the Lakers notched a 79-63 victory in Morrow on January 9, 2017. They've since made it three in a row with a 62-52 win at The Loch on December 30, 2017 and a 64-49 victory in Augusta on February 12, 2018.
