Clayton State Set to Travel to No. 20/22 North Georgia in Midweek Matchup

MORROW, Ga. – Clayton State (10-5, 6-3 PBC) women's basketball will conclude a stretch of three road games in five days, doing so with the toughest team in that slate, Peach Belt Conference leading No. 20/22 North Georgia (12-3, 7-2 PBC) on Wednesday, January 23. Game time is set for 5:30 p.m. tip-off in Daholnega, Georgia.

The Lakers hold a 25-15 advantage in an all-time series that dates back to the first season of the program. That first meeting took place on January 29, 1992. After going 6-11 over the first 17 outings, Clayton State took control of the series, going 20-3 from February 22, 2006 through February 6, 2017. That stretch included 13 straight wins from January 23, 2008 through March 10, 2013.

More recently the Lakers held a four game winning streak including that February 6, 2017 meeting that resulted in a 58-57 victory. That streak was snapped by North Georgia last season on January 29, 2018 with a 70-65 decision at The Loch. It was extended to a two game stretch with a 66-54 win in Dahlonega, Georgia on February 14, 2018.

Coverage of the game will be available on both live video and live stats. All coverage will be available on www.ClaytonStateSports.com with a full recap following the contest.
