MORROW, Ga. – In a game that could impact making the Peach Belt Conference Tournament or not, Clayton State (5-10, 2-7 PBC) men's basketball heads into the mountains to face North Georgia (6-9, 1-8 PBC) in the last of three games in five days on Wednesday, January 23. Game time is set for approximately 7:30 p.m. in Dahlonega, Georgia following the women's contest.
 
The Lakers lead the the all-time series 20-19 dating back to the first season of basketball in 1990-91. That first meeting came on January 30, 1991 at The Loch. Following three losses to start the series, Clayton State won seven straight from February 15, 1992 through February 6, 1995 before dropping 15 of the next 17 meetings through February 11, 2012.
 
Since then the Lakers have won 11 of the last 12, including eight straight from January 10, 2015. Most recently they closed down historic Memorial Hall, which they were 11-9 in, by a commanding 89-63 score on February 14, 2018. This will be their first game at the brand new UNG Convocation Center which opened in late February last year.
