MORROW, Ga. – With a three game win streak under their belt, Clayton State (7-4, 3-2 PBC) women's basketball returns home to face Francis Marion (6-3, 3-2 PBC) on Saturday, January 12. Game time is set for 1:30 p.m. at The Loch.

The Lakers lead the all-time series 23-13 dating back to the first meeting on January 10, 1998. FMU notched an 86-61 victory that day as part of a six game win streak and 10 of the first 12 outings through March 2, 2004.
 
Since then Clayton State has won 21 of the last 24, including 13 straight from February 28, 2009 through January 7, 2017. Overall, they have defeated a ranked Patriots squad six times, headlined by an 86-60 decision over the No. 7 ranked team to start the last win streak.
 
On January 6, 2018, FMU snapped that streak with a 74-66 victory in Florence, South Carolina before the Lakers began a new one with a 68-63 decision at The Loch on February 3 later that year. Included among the series history is a stellar 12-3 mark at home.

Promotions
Both the women's game and the men's that follows directly after will also be Community and Recreation Day at The Loch. There will be free admission to residents of the Tri-County area encompassing Clayton, Fayette and Henry counties and the first 100 children in attendance will receive a Laker themed prize.
