Clayton State Set to Take on Shorter for First Time Since 2015

MORROW, Ga. – Continuing a four game homestand, Clayton State (0-2, 0-0 PBC) will host Shorter (0-3, 0-0 GSC) at Laker Field on Thursday, September 6. Game time is set for approximately 7:30 p.m. following a neutral site game between No. 23 Tampa and North Georgia at 5 p.m.

The Lakers hold a 4-1 record in the all-time series against the Hawks dating back to the first meeting on October 23, 2003. That 5-0 road decision would be the first of three straight victories, including a 1-0 final the following October 23 at Laker Field and another 5-0 win in Rome, Georgia on September 30, 2005.

Shorter would pick up their lone win, a 2-1 decision in Rome, when the series resumed on September 24, 2014. Most recently Clayton State delivered a 4-0 victory on September 23, 2015 at Laker Field.

There will be live video and live stats coverage of the game, both of which are available on www.ClaytonStateSports.com.
