Carson-Newman Set to Visit Laker Field For First Time Since 1998 as Clayton State Continues Homestand

MORROW, Ga. – For the first time since 1998, Carson-Newman (0-0, 0-0 SAC) will visit Laker Field as Clayton State (0-1, 0-0 PBC) continues a four-game season opening homestand on Saturday, September 1. Game time is set for 7 p.m.

It is only the third time the teams have met with the first coming on October 23, 1998. That day, the Lakers pulled out a 3-2 victory and it would be nearly 20 years before the two clubs would meet again. That came in the form of a 4-2 CNU victory in Jefferson City, Tennessee on September 9, 2017. With that, the all-time series is currently knotted at 1-1.

There will be live video and live stats coverage of the game, both of which are available on www.ClaytonStateSports.com.
