MORROW, Ga. – Clayton State (14-13, 11-10 PBC) travels little more than an hour south to face rival Columbus State (17-8, 15-6 PBC) in the regular season finale for both teams on Saturday, February 24. Game time is set for 1:30 p.m. in Columbus, Georgia.
 
Clayton State trails the all-time series 29-22 dating back to the first meeting on November 25, 1995. With 50 meetings, it is the second most prevalent series in program history, trailing only the 53 games against Georgia College. The Cougars won 18 of the first 20 meetings before Clayton State responded by taking 20 of the next 22. Since March 8, 2014, however, Columbus has won the last eight outings, including a 70-59 decision on January 27, 2018 at The Loch.
 
Based upon scenarios provided by the Peach Belt Conference, the Lakers cannot improve their standing and will enter the postseason as the No. 7 seed, likely facing No. 2 seed Lander. That game would be in Greenwood, South Carolina on Wednesday, February 28.
