DAHLONEGA, Ga. – Junior
Nick Woof (Leighton Buzzard, England) delivered one of the best performances of his career as he shot a tournament record tying 64 to lead Clayton State men's golf to a 3-of-8 finish at the Fifth Annual UNG Fall Invitational on Tuesday, October 2. As a team they finished with a 286-291-275-852 on the day.

Entering the day tied for 10
th, Woof fired off that 64 and shot all the way to a tie for second out of 49 golfers. That performance also earned him All-Tournament honors after shooting a 69-74-64-207 that was nine-under-par.

He was joined by freshman
Augusto Oliva (Buenos Aires, Argentia) in 11
th with a 69-74-70-213 and sophomore
Raul Carbonell (Panama City, Panama) in 15
th. The latter was remarkably consistent as he shot a 72-72-72-216.

Senior
Andres Caballero (Mexico City, Mexico) got progressively better as he carded a 77-72-69-218 to tie for 19
th while fellow senior
Fran Hernandez (Cancun, Mexico) tied for 25
th with a 76-73-72-221.

Young Harris claimed the tournament title with an 839 and Georgia College earned runner-up honors with a score of 847.

The Lakers will wrap up the fall portion of the season when they compete in the Matt Dyas Invitational from October 22-23. Hosted by West Georgia in Carrollton, Georgia, that tournament will be played at Oak Mountain Golf Club. Last year Clayton State won that tournament in a playoff over Young Harris.
