MORROW, Ga. – Clayton State (6-5, 3-2 PBC) looks to continue their strong play since from returning from the holiday break as they travel to Francis Marion (7-3, 4-1 PBC) on Saturday, January 6. Game time is set for 1:30 p.m. in Florence, South Carolina.

The Lakers lead the all-time series 22-12 dating back to the first meeting on January 10, 1998. FMU notched an 86-61 victory that day as part of a six game win streak and 10 of the first 12 outings through March 2, 2004.
 
Since then Clayton State has won 20 of the last 22, including 13 straight since February 28, 2009. Overall, they have defeated a ranked Patriots squad six times, headlined by an 86-60 decision over the No. 7 ranked team to start the current win streak. Last year they notched a narrow 72-69 victory in Florence on January 7, 2017.
