MORROW, Ga. – As the longest Peach Belt Conference schedule in league history wears on Clayton State (8-8, 5-5 PBC) travels to Georgia Southwestern (5-10, 2-9 PBC) on Wednesday, January 24. The game is set for a 5:30 p.m. tip-off in Americus, Georgia.

The Lakers lead the all-time series 26-12 dating back to the first meeting on January 4, 1992 during the first season of women's basketball. After going 4-11 over the first 15 meetings, Clayton State proceeded to win the next 18 from January 3, 2007 through February 7, 2015.
 
The Hurricanes snapped that streak with a 71-59 victory in Americus on January 27, 2016 before the Lakers rebounded with a 68-47 decision at The Loch on February 6 of that year. Since that win they have stretched it to a three-game streak, winning 80-53 at the Storm Dome on January 25, 2017 and again on February 11, 2017 by a 63-54 score.
