MORROW, Ga. – Clayton State (7-8, 4-5 PBC) returns to action for a key Peach Belt Conference contest as they travel to UNC Pembroke (6-8, 4-6 PBC) on Saturday, January 20. Game time is set for 1:30 p.m. in Pembroke, North Carolina.
 
Entering the day, the Lakers are in seventh place with UNCP directly behind them in the eighth and final postseason spot. That margin is just half a game as the teams meet for the first time this season.

Clayton State is an impressive 17-9 all-time against UNCP and are 9-5 on the road in the series. They have won 11 of the last 13 meetings with the only exceptions being a 69-59 Braves victory on January 19, 2015 in Pembroke and a 76-61 loss on the road on December 17, 2016.
 
Last season the teams met in the PBC Tournament for the first time as the Lakers notched a 72-49 quarterfinal victory at The Loch on February 25, 2017. The series dates back to January 11, 1998 when Clayton State posted a 73-44 decision.
