MORROW, Ga. – In a battle of the top two teams in the Peach Belt Conference, Clayton State (9-4, 7-2 PBC) heads to UNC Pembroke (13-3, 9-1 PBC) on Saturday, January 20. Game time is set for approximately 3:30 p.m. following the women's game.
 
The Lakers are an impressive 21-6 all-time against the Braves dating back to the first meeting on January 11, 1998. After dropping two of the first three meetings, Clayton State has dominated the series, going 20-4. That included a 12-game win streak from February, 17, 2001 through December 1, 2007 and a current run of eight wins in the last 11 outings.
 
Most recently they had a three-game win streak highlighted by a 69-66 win in Pembroke on January 19, 2015. On that day, the Braves were ranked No. 14/15 in the country. Last year UNCP snapped that stretch with an 81-74 decision in Pembroke. Overall the Lakers are 9-5 on the road in the series.
