MORROW, Ga. – A winter weather State of Emergency for most of Georgia has forced the postponement of Clayton State's basketball doubleheader against North Georgia that was originally scheduled for this evening, Wednesday, January 17, at The Loch.
 
Several inches of snow fell overnight and freezing temperatures will persist throughout the region during the day. In the interests of the safety of fans, teams, staff and officials, those games have been moved to Monday, January 29. Start times will remain the same at 5:30 p.m. for the women with the men tipping off at approximately 7:30 p.m.
 
This is the first home basketball postponement due to weather since January 23, 2016, also against North Georgia, when heavy snows fell throughout the northern part of the state.
 
The Lakers are now scheduled to return to action on Saturday, January 20 when they travel to Pembroke, North Carolina to take on UNC Pembroke. Game times will be 1:30 p.m. and 3:30 p.m.
