MORROW, Ga. – Clayton State (7-7, 4-4 PBC) hosts one of the top teams in the Peach Belt Conference as No. 25 Lander (12-3, 7-2 PBC) visits The Loch for a Martin Luther King Day matinee on Monday, January 15. Game time is set for a special 1:30 p.m. tip-off.
The Lakers lead the
all-time series 20-13, dating back to the first meeting on January 31, 1998. In the history of the series, Clayton State held a nine-game win streak from January 15, 2005, through March 15, 2008, which is the longest between the two teams.
Clayton State won five of six meetings between March 3, 2012 and December 17, 2015 but the Bearcats have taken the last four. That includes a 92-71 decision on January 4, 2017, a 97-60 victory in the PBC Quarterfinals on March 4, 2017 and 93-59 on December 19, 2017, all of which were in Greenwood, South Carolina.
