DAHLONEGA, Ga. – Clayton State (2-11, 0-9 PBC) dropped an 8-1 decision at No. 36 North Georgia (16-3, 7-2 PBC) in an NCAA Division II women's tennis match on Saturday, April 1.
 
The Mountain Lions notched three identical 8-1 victories in doubles play to take a 3-0 advantage and claimed the first four singles matches to lock up the match. Junior Alina Ageichik (Minsk, Republic of Belarus) stopped that streak as she delivered the Lakers lone victory, picking up a 6-2, 6-4 win over Laura Van Der Hage at No. 6.
 
Senior Kristiin Mets (Kuressaare, Estonia), playing at the No. 1 position, faced the toughest challenge of the day as she took on the No. 33 singles player in the country. She battled to a 6-4 first set against Kathrin Waidner before succumbing 7-5 to reach the final margin of 8-1.
 
The Lakers wrap up three matches in as many days tomorrow, April 2, when they travel to No. 38 Young Harris. First serve is set for 2 p.m. in Young Harris, Ga.
