MORROW, Ga. – Coming off of a 106-78 exhibition victory over Carver, Clayton State (0-0, 0-0 PBC) jumps into the regular season in a big way as they travel to No. 2 Queens (2-0, 0-0 SAC) for their season opener n Wednesday, November 15. Game time is set for 8 p.m. in Charlotte, North Carolina.
 
The Royals are the 2016-17 NCAA Division II Southeast Region runner-up following a season that saw them go 30-4. This year they are 2-0 with victories over Peach Belt Conference schools Georgia College (89-53) and North Georgia (81-70). In the preseason they nearly upset Division I Wake Forest before falling by a 76-74 score.
 
This will be just the second meeting in the history of the programs with the first coming last season, also in Charlotte. The Royals hold a 1-0 advantage following that 81-71 victory on November 12, 2016.
