MORROW, Ga. – Needing a result of some kind to secure the final spot in the 2017 Peach Belt Conference Tournament, Clayton State (5-9, 2-7 PBC) heads to No. 17 Flagler (13-1-2, 6-1-2 PBC) for the regular season finale in an NCAA Division II women's soccer game on Saturday, October 28. Game time is set for 1 p.m. in St. Augustine, Florida.
 
The Lakers remain tied with Francis Marion and USC Aiken at six points, however, should they not pick up at least a point from the tie, they will not qualify for the field based on a three-way tiebreak.

All-time Clayton State is 5-2-2 against Flagler, dating to the first meeting on October 26, 1996. Following that 1-1 tie in St. Augustine, Florida, the Saints would notch a 2-1 victory on their home field in the next meeting – 13 years later on September 26, 2009. Since then the teams have met each year as members of the PBC with the Lakers holding a 5-1-1 advantage over that time. All five wins in the series history have been by shutout, including four in a row since 2013.
