MORROW, Ga. – No. 23 Clayton State (9-3, 1-2 PBC) returns to action as they travel to defending Southeast Region Champion Francis Marion (7-5, 2-1 PBC) on Saturday, January 7. Game time is set for 1:30 p.m. in Florence, South Carolina.

The Lakers lead the all-time series 21-12 dating back to the first meeting on January 10, 1998. FMU notched an 86-61 victory that day as part of a six game win streak and 10 of the first 12 outings through March 2, 2004.
 
Since then Clayton State has 19 of the last 21, including 12 straight since February 28, 2009. Overall, they have defeated a ranked Patriots squad six times, headlined by an 86-60 decision over the No. 7 ranked team to start the current win streak.
