Battle For PBC West Division Lead Up For Grabs as Clayton State Heads to Young Harris

MORROW, Ga. – The top two teams in the Peach Belt Conference West Division will meet head on on Saturday, January 28 as Clayton State (11-8, 6-4 PBC) travels to current leader Young Harris (12-6, 6-3 PBC). Game time is slated for 7:30 p.m. in Young Harris, Georgia following the conclusion of the women's contest.

Separated only by percentage points, YHC (.667) and the Lakers (.600) enter the day ahead of North Georgia (.556) and Columbus State (.545). Nearly halfway through the league slate, Clayton State holds the tie-breaker over both of those teams with victories within the past 10 days.

In order to take over the division lead, the Lakers will need to buck the trend in the all-time series, where they trail 7-1 since the first meeting on January 10, 2013. Their lone victory came in the fifth game where they posted a 73-65 decision at The Loch on January 3, 2015. Since then, Young Harris has won the last three, including a 79-71 victory in the mountains on January 2 and a narrow 94-91 win at The Loch on February 20 of last year.

Coverage of the game will be available both on live stats and live video on www.ClaytonStateSports.com.
