MORROW, Ga. – Clayton State (2-5, 1-3 PBC) returns to Peach Belt Conference action as they finally play at home as they host Francis Marion (9-2, 3-1 PBC) on Sunday, March 5. First serve is set for 10 a.m. in Morrow, Georgia.

FMU enters the match having won six straight, including the last three in the PBC. Their only losses of the season have come against No. 8 Columbus State (8-1 on 2/14) and Division I Coastal Carolina (6-1 on 1/30).

For the Lakers, they play their first match at home all season after seeing their original home opener against Erskine postponed on February 13 due to inclement weather. Most recently, Clayton State picked up their first PBC win of the season, 8-1 at Georgia Southwestern (2/28) before falling 9-0 at NAIA National Champion No. 1 Auburn-Montgomery (3/4).

All-time, the Lakers are 8-11 against Francis Marion dating back to the first meeting on March 21, 1998. The Patriots have won the last four meetings but Clayton State is 6-3 at home in the series. The Lakers last victory was a 5-4 decision at FMU on March 19, 2011.
