Return to The Loch on Tap as Clayton State Faces Georgia Southwestern

MORROW, Ga. – Clayton State (12-8, 7-6 PBC) returns to The Loch for the first time this month, and for one of only three times, as they host Georgia Southwestern (8-12, 4-9 PBC) Peach Belt Conference West Division action. Game time is set for 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, February 3 following the conclusion of the women's game.

GSW enters the game having lost three in a row and four of their last five. That stretch began with an 84-82 defeat at the hands of the Lakers on January 27 and continued with losses to Columbus State (1/30) and Montevallo (2/3) by scores of 76-59 and 75-72, respectively.

After winning five of seven games, the Lakers have dropped two in a row and are in a battle with Georgia College for the fourth postseason spot out of the West Division. In their most recent outings, they fell at Augusta (1/30) 80-70 and Columbus State (2/3) 88-86, the latter coming on a last second jumper.

Clayton State fell the same way in their first meeting with GC, giving the Bobcats, who are 8-5 in league play, the advantage in the head-to-head matchup. The two teams will meet again on February 17 in Milledgeville, Georgia in what will be a key game both club's postseason aspirations.

Full live coverage of the game will be available through live stats and live video on www.ClaytonStateSports.com. A full recap will also be available directly following the contest.
