MORROW, Ga. – In a flat-footed tie for the Peach Belt Conference West Division lead, Clayton State (18-4, 12-3 PBC) continues a three-game road trip at Montevallo (7-15, 4-11 PBC) looking to improve their standing. Game time is set for 2:30 p.m. (EST) on Saturday, February 13.
The Falcons come into the game having lost five of their last six games, with the lone win coming against Georgia Southwestern (2/3), 68-60. During that stretch they dropped a narrow 54-52 decision at Armstrong State (1/30) and pushed No. 19 Columbus State (2/11) in their last outing before falling 71-56.
After enduring a three-game road losing streak, the Lakers have been finding their way again over their last two games. They snapped that streak with a 68-47 home victory over Georgia Southwestern (2/6) and downed USC Aiken (2/10) by a 78-64 score in their most recent action.
Nationally, Clayton State finds itself with three Top-10 statistical rankings, headlined by a No. 4 mark in forced turnovers (24.23). That is followed by No. 5 in steals per game (12.7) and No. 7 in total steals (280).
