Clayton State Set to Take on Undefeated No. 15 Francis Marion in 2015 Finale

MORROW, Ga. – Coming off of a 21-point win over Peach Belt Conference East Division leader Lander yesterday, Clayton State (7-1, 1-0 PBC) takes on an even more daunting foe as they host No. 15 Francis Marion (9-0, 1-0 PBC) on Saturday, December 19 at The Loch.

The Patriots are off to the third-best start in program history and have a 66-63 victory over NCAA Division I UNC Greensboro (11/18) to their credit. Most recently they opened up PBC play by barely defeating Montevallo (12/17) on a last second shot. Currently they are ranked No. 15 in the D2SIDA National Poll.

The Lakers are coming off of an impressive 82-61 victory over Lander (12/17) in their own PBC opener. That marked their fourth straight win in their first action since December 5. Among those victories were decisions over Puerto Rico – Rio Piedras (77-40), Chowan (77-50) and Livingstone (83-68). During that four game win streak they have averaged 79.8 points and an average margin of victory of 25 points.

Full video and live stat coverage will be available for the game on www.ClaytonStateSports.com. The combination of Mitch Evans and P.J. Mays will bring you call on the broadcast, which will be followed by the Georgia's Own Postgame Interview with head coach Kaleena Coleman.
