Clayton State Kicks Off Peach Belt Conference Slate Against High Scoring Lander Squad

MORROW, Ga. – The non-conference season is over as Clayton State (6-1, 0-0 PBC) will get to see just where they stand as they open up Peach Belt Conference action against high scoring Lander (7-2, 1-0 PBC) on Thursday, December 17 at The Loch. Game time is set for 5:30 p.m.
 
The Bearcats are averaging 89.1 points per game and have scored better than 100 points in a game four times, including in each of their last two outings. They defeated Carver 114-78 (12/12) and Lees-McRae 111-80 (12/14) in those games with their other century mark games coming against St. Augustine's (107-62 on 11/21) and Brewton-Parker (122-52 on 11/24).
 
Meanwhile, the Lakers have been idle since winning both of their games in the 2015 Heritage Bank Classic from December 4-5. They took out Chowan by a 77-50 score on the first day before downing Livingstone 83-68 in the finale. They enter with an impressive 6-1 mark with their only loss coming to No. 9/18 Lubbock Christian (11/27) at the Rollins Thanksgiving Tournament.
