MORROW, Ga. – Seven games into the season, Clayton State (5-2, 0-0 PBC) begins Peach Belt Conference play when they host league leading Lander (7-2, 1-0 PBC) on Thursday, December 17. Game time is set for 7:30 p.m. at The Loch following the women's game.
The Bearcats enter having won five of their last six games, including a 62-59 victory over UNC Pembroke (12/5) in their league opener. Among their victories are back-to-back overtime road decisions against Limestone (79-72 on 11/21) and Paine (97-92 on 11/24). Their two losses have at home to King (69-64 on 11/18) and St. Augustine's (60-57 on 11/27).
Clayton State begins PBC action following a 78-75 loss to Lane in their final non-conference action yesterday. Prior to that game they had won five of their first six games and averaged 88.2 points in those victories. The Lakers have also faced teams from five different leagues and an independent during the non-conference portion of the season.
