Morrow, GA – A trip to San Antonio, TX and a spot in the NCAA Division II "Elite Eight" will be on the line tonight as the No. 1-ranked and undefeated Clayton State Lakers will face 9th-ranked Limestone.
Tipoff for the game at the Athletics & Fitness Center on the campus of Clayton State is 7 p.m.
The 31-0 Lakers reached the final Saturday night with their third consecutive win USC Aiken, this time by an 83-66 score, as senior Kayla Mobley set a career high with 26 points.
With the Pacers determined to shut down National Player of the Year candidate Drameka Griggs (who had 10 assists), the Lakers went inside and out against the Pacer zone, as junior center Shay Jackson scored 17 and junior guard Bena Hanyard added 15.
Limestone, out of Conference Carolinas, enters the game after a 67-52 win over Pfeiffer on Saturday. The Saints are 27-3 record on the year.
Tonight's game between the two schools will be first game played against one another in women's basketball.
