Kemboi continued to be one of the top distance runners in the Southeast Region as he competed, and placed highly, in three meets throughout the Month of March.
He opened the month with a pair of second place finishes in the 1,500-meters (2-of-5, 4:10.37) and distance medley (2-of-3, 10:41.31) at the Adonica Ferguson Relays (3/1). He then earned another runner-up finish in the distance medley (2-of-10, 10.29.67) and a first place finish in the 5,000-meter (1-of-69, 14.48.13) at the Emory Invitational (3/21). He then finished off the month at the primarily Division I adidas Raleigh Relays, placing 54-of-139 in the 5,000-meters (14:38.06).
This is the third time that Kemboi has been named as a Chick-fil-A Forest Park Dwarf House Student-Athlete of the Month. He was one of the first two honorees in November following his All-American performance at the Division II Cross Country Championships and earned his second honor last month.
