Jermaine Rolle is in this first year as the Director of Athletics at Clayton State. Rolle comes to Clayton State University from University of Wisconsin-Green Bay where he served as the deputy director of Athletics and Compliance since August of 2020. At Green Bay, Rolle led the Compliance and Student-Athlete Services Departments. He oversaw all aspects of NCAA Division I and Horizon League rules and regulations along with working close with the Green Bay Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC).
While at Green Bay, Rolle worked very closely with the planning and execution of the Phoenix-Packers Steak Fry. This event, in partnership with the Green Bay Packers, draws nearly 1,000 attendees and brings in nearly $200,000 dollars each year to benefit 240 student-athletes and the athletics department as a collective.
Prior to his role at UW-Green Bay, Rolle served as the associate director of Athletics for Compliance and Student Life at Minot State University, in Minot, North Dakota, from April 2019 to August 2020. At Minot State, Rolle was responsible for the supervision of numerous athletics programs and oversaw the Compliance Department. As head of the Compliance Department, Rolle made sure that the department of Athletics followed the rules and regulations set forth by NCAA Division II and the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference. Rolle also served as the advisor to the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC).
Before UW-Green Bay and Minot State, Rolle was the assistant director of Athletics for Compliance at Holy Family University, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, from September 2012 to April 2019 where he oversaw all aspects of monitoring NCAA compliance and was the primary institutional contact for the interpretation and education of the compliance legislation. In addition to his compliance duties, Rolle provided secondary support for student-athlete welfare and development, while also serving as an onsite administrator for multiple sporting events on campus.
