Michael Lynch

A former standout for the Clayton State men's program from 2000-04, Lynch joined the Clayton State women’s coaching staff in 2012. He is a native of Sheffield, United Kingdom and has developed his coaching skills through a variety of organizations and playing experiences.

As a player at Clayton State, Lynch started in the midfield and helped lead the squad to two Peach Belt Conference championships and two trips to the NCAA Division II National Tournament. He was a starter on one of the Lakers’ most successful teams in 2000, which finished with an 18-3-1 record.

Along with helping the Laker women's program to a 10-win season last year, his coaching experience also includes working with the Sheffield Rangers Football Club, the Rotherham United Juniors Football club, as the Assistant Director of Coaching at TSC and as a Georgia Olympic Development Program Staff Coach.

He holds 3 A-levels in Sports Science and Leisure and Tourism which he acquired in the UK, along with a USSF A license and a National Youth license for soccer. He graduated from Clayton State with a bachelor’s degree in Technology Management in 2005.

Helped lead Lakers to over 40 victories in three seasons
Starter on 2000 PBC Tournament Championship and 13th ranked team
Starter on 2001 PBC Championship and 14th ranked team

Played in two NCAA Division II Soccer Championship Tournaments
Named to the 2001 All Peach Belt Tournament Team
