Biography
Returning All-Peach Belt Conference performer for Clayton State… One of the nation’s best defensive players at the Division II level that has shown vast improvements in her offensive game… Is only in her fourth season of organized basketball, but has made rapid strides with her tremendous athleticism and ability… One of the nation’s leaders in steals, and holds the Clayton State single-season record for steals with 113… Represented her native Jamaica last summer in the Caribbean Games… Will be a legitimate Peach Belt Player of the Year and Division II All-American hopeful this season.
2005-06: Had a tremendous first season in a Laker uniform, averaging 13 points and five rebounds a game in 29 starts on the wing… Shot 49 percent from the field and 70 percent from the free throw line… Set a Clayton State single-season record for steals with 113… Led the Peach Belt Conference in steals and ranked fourth in the nation in steals… Selected All-Peach Belt Conference… Reached double-figures in scoring in 23 games… Scored a career-high 25 points against Columbus State and 20 points each against Augusta State and against Wingate in the NCAA Division II National Tournament… Also recorded double-doubles against West Georgia (18 points, 10 rebounds) and Armstrong Atlantic (15 points, 11 rebounds).
Pre-Clayton State: Was a two-year standout at Tallahassee Community College… Junior college head coach was Teresa Atkinson… Junior college teammate of fellow Laker Tracey Browne… Selected both All-Panhandle Conference and All-NJCAA All-Region as a sophomore… Also earned All-Panhandle Conference Academic honors as a sophomore… Averaged 17 points, seven rebounds and four steals a game as a sophomore.
High School: Attended St. Andrew Technical High School in Kingston, Jamaica… Was one of top junior Netball players in Jamaica.
Personal: Favorite food is chicken and rice… Major is Marketing.
