Griffin Warner enters his first season at Clayton State with the beginning of the 2020-21 season.

He joins the Laker family after spending one year as an assistant athletic trainer at Young Harris College, a fellow Peach Belt Conference institution. Prior to the 2019-20 season, Warner served as a graduate assistant for the Mountain Lions and has provided coverage for women’s soccer, men’s lacrosse the men’s and women’s cross country programs.

While on staff, the Young Harris athletic training steam were named the Peach Belt’s Athletic Training Staff of the Year twice (2018-19, 2019-20).

During his first year as a graduate assistant, Warner received the PBC Dissinger Reed Graduate Athletic Training scholarship.

Warner received a bachelor’s degree in athletic training from the University of North Georgia, a PBC member, in 2017 and his master’s in kinesiology at UNG two years later.

He is a BOC certified athletic trainer, holds an athletic training license with the state of Georgia and is CPR and AED certified through the American Heart Association. He is also a member of the National Athletic Trainers’ Association (NATA).
