A former member of the Clayton State cross country and track & field teams, Lane rejoined the programs as a graduate assistant coach in August 2016. In that role, he works primarily with the mid-distance and distance runners and brings a great deal of personal experience to the table.
 
COLLEGIATE CAREER: CLAYTON STATE (2012-15) AND OKLAHOMA CITY (2010-12)
Lane ran eight seasons for Clayton State between cross country, indoor and outdoor track & field from 2012-15.
 
During that time he notched 11 top three performances in track, including four first place finishes. In 2015, he ran a time of 31:54.82 in the 10,000-meters at the Peach Belt Conference Championships to finish third and earn All-PBC honors.
 
As a member of the cross country program in 2012 and 2013 he ran in seven meets, placing ninth at the Montevallo Falcon Classic and 25th at the NCAA Division II Southeast Regional as a junior. Prior to coming to Clayton State, Lane ran two seasons for Oklahoma City University from 2010-12.
ADDITIONAL ACTIVITIES
In addition to his experience as a student-athlete, he has also served as a student member of the Office of Housing and Residence Life as a Resident Assistant. Lane also participated in the NCAA Emerging Leaders Seminar held in Indianapolis, Indiana in January of 2016.
 
He was among 200 individuals selected to attend nationally, and just one of four from Peach Belt Conference institutions, for an event that featured numerous speakers and tremendous networking opportunities.
 
EDUCATION
A 2015 graduate of Clayton State University, Lane holds a Bachelor of Science in Health Fitness Management with a minor in Business, Health and Fitness Management.
