Biography

Returns for his senior season at Clayton State… One of the best guards in the Peach Belt Conference… Selected both All-Peach Belt Conference and All-Division II South Atlantic Region last season… A complete guard that can both score and handle the ball effectively… Legitimate Peach Belt Player of the Year hopeful and Division II All-American candidate.

2005-06: Made a successful transition into the Clayton State system, starting all 28 games… Led the team in both scoring and assists, averaging 17 points a game while dishing out 82 assists… Selected both All-Peach Belt Conference and Division II All-South Atlantic Region… Reached double-figures in scoring in all but four games, including 13 games with 20 or more points… Scored a career-high 30 points against North Georgia and set a Clayton State single-game record for free throws, converting 19-for-20 from the charity stripe… Scored 25 points in his Laker debut against Tuskegee on 10-for-14 shooting from the field… Also scored 24 points each against Georgia College and Carver, plus 23 points against USC-Aiken and 22 points each against Armstrong Atlantic and Columbus State.

Pre-Clayton State: A two-year standout at Lenoir Community College in Kinston, NC... Junior college head coach was Bobby Dawson… Scored over 1,500 points in two seasons at Lenoir… Selected NJCAA All-American and NJCAA Region X Player of the Year during his sophomore season… Averaged 24 points and six assists a game as a sophomore while shooting 44 percent from 3-point range… Had nine games of 30 or more points and scored a career-high 48 points against Spartanburg Methodist… A two-time All-Region selection… Originally signed a football scholarship to Western Carolina before switching to basketball.

High School: Football and basketball standout at Hobbton High School in Newton Grove, N.C… All-State and All-Conference selection in football… Four-year starter in basketball, scoring over 2,000 career points.
