Pre-Clayton State: Lettered one season each at McCook Community College in McCook, Neb., and Middle Georgia College in Cochran, Ga… Head coaches were Brendan Lenhart (McCook) and Scott Moe (Middle Georgia)… Earned NJCAA All-Region and All-Conference in his freshman season at McCook, averaging 21 points and three steals a game… Earned NJCAA All-Region honors during his sophomore season at Georgia College, averaging 13 points and leading the GJCAA in steals.

High School: Lettered three seasons in basketball at Cedar Shoals High School in Athens, Ga… High school head coach was Ray Link… A two-time All-Region selection… Averaged 17 points and five steals as a junior and 21 points and five steals as a senior… Helped pace Cedar Shoals to two region championships and the state quarterfinals as a senior… Also lettered in cross country.
